Lifestyle Sessions- a game changer! | Lifestyle Family Photography | San Diego Family Photographer

Lifestyle Photography is important!

Our kids grow at a rapid pace. You’ve heard that saying: the days are long but the years are short. Before you know it they are not the baby, toddler, little kid they once were. In the age of iPhones everyone has a slew of photos of their kids- except the photos on my iPhone are not exactly canvas worthy. [Am I the only one who is usually disappointed in my iPhone photography?? UGH.]

I want to remember the everyday moments of my family’s life. I want to have photos of us doing things together that are true representations of our life. Getting everyone dressed in nice clothing and heading to a park or the beach is great, but it’s not our everyday real life. I want the traditional family photo every once in a while, but I also want photos of my kids riding their bikes, learning to surf, hanging out in our favorite neighborhood spots- and I want the photos to be beautiful and high quality so that I can print them and display them in my home. In order to get these images [and actually be in some myself- hello Mom does exist!] I book lifestyle photography sessions for my family- and encourage my clients to do the same.

Booking lifestyle sessions for my family was a complete game changer! My husband is not exactly happy when it’s time for family photos. But during our lifestyle session he had a blast. The photos are some of my favorite because he’s got the most handsome and natural smile on his face while he surfed with our sons.

Try it. Contact your family photographer and tell them you want photos of your family at the playground, beach, or in your backyard. Have a family water fight on a hot day, or blow bubbles with your baby. Savoring these family memories will be a treasure for years to come.

And hey- while you’re here I’d love new lifestyle session ideas! Post a comment of what you would want your lifestyle session to incorporate.

Have a fun day, Friends!

Good times, great people, lasting memories
