Here is your friendly reminder to schedule your family photos!
What time of year do you usually like to have your photography session?
Do you wait until fall like the rest of the world?
Have you ever waited so long that your favorite photographer doesn’t have anymore availability?
I’m going to let you in on a little secret: you don’t have to wait until fall to take your family photos. You can take them earlier in the year and still use images from that session on your holiday card! Do you want to know what I think is the best season of the year to have your photos taken? Ok I’ll tell you; SUMMERTIME!
3 REASONS SUMMER IS THE BEST TIME FOR FAMILY PHOTOS
LESS STRESS
Summer is less stressful than fall. When fall rolls around kids are starting back to school. Fall sports kick into gear. Then before you know it the holidays are coming and we are prepping for feasts and family visitors. Trying to coordinate family photos during all of this is just one more thing on your plate. Make the whole process and season of fall less stressful by booking your family photos in the summer. Kids are out of school. Schedules are more flexible. It’s all-around easier.
BONUS:
Your images are ready before the holiday card crunch-time! Do you know how nice it is to order holiday cards in September? You don’t have to stress about shipping times or scramble to get them sent out to arrive by the holidays. You’ve planned ahead and its EASY because you did so!
VACATION MEMORIES
If you’re taking a summer vacation look up family photographers in your destination area and book a session while you’re on vacation. TRUST ME- it will be awesome! You’ll have beautiful memories of your special time and you can use one for your holiday card! Two birds, one stone.
If you’re headed to San Diego for your vacation this year let’s connect! I’d love to capture memories of your beautiful crew frolicking on the beach together.
EVERYONE LOOKS BETTER IN SUMMER
Ok this sounds ridiculous- but stay with me. Everyone is tanner in summer, and don’t we all feel and look better with a tan? Even if you don’t tan well- you’re probably still not as pale as we are in the winter- right? ha ha Ok I know I sound silly. I promise, I’m all for sun protection and skin cancer prevention. But real talk: I had our family photos scheduled for January. Our photographer came down with the virus and we had to reschedule. It got me thinking- I KNOW I’ll look better in my outfit if I’ve got a little summer tan going on. Call me crazy, that’s ok. I already know I’m crazy.
