When I was growing up if my Dad wanted a hug he would say “Give me a big squeeze.” My sisters and I would wrap our arms around his neck and squeeze as hard as we could. ⠀
Nothing compares to the feeling of your child hugging you. In my home hugs are a reward for a job well done, comfort when you’re hurt or scared, the way we greet or say good-bye to each other, and a simple way to say “I love you” throughout the day. And they are easily my favorite part of every day. ⠀
Have you gotten a hug today?
