a 7 year old's drawing of his mother, and its really ugly

My son drew this portrait of me when he was 7 years old. I’ve never laughed harder, or felt uglier. It’s a keeper!

Raise your hand if you are like me and every couple of months ask yourself “What should I do with all this kid artwork?” Give me an “A-men” if you are completely out of space when it comes to storing your kids’ masterpieces. It’s such a challenge because I am a sentimental person. Seeing their messy preschool art brings me joy, and makes me long for a hug from my kids at that age. I keep more artwork than I probably should, but it’s so hard for me to let it go! They are 10 and 11 years old now, and I have an overflowing bin of papers that brings me anxiety and feelings over overwhelm every time I see it stashed away in my closet. But, this is 2023!! -the year I declutter my home and make my space work better for our family. [Remember the book I shared last month? I loved hearing so many of you also picked it up- please update me on your progress!] I know I’ve got to do SOMETHING with all this art!
